"Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built."
James Allen
I finally decided to make my own blog, after being an avid and ritual reader of quite a number of blogs on the Ol' Information Highway as it is sometimes referred. A bit about myself before I begin. I am an 18 year old male, from the South East coast of Victoria, Australia. Others will know this general area as "Melbourne", which I live about 40kms from. The thing about Melbourne that most people complain about, is in fact the weather. Inconsistency is the word that seems to fit best. Just yesterday, it was a hot day of about 28-30 degrees, which had me sweating like a paedophile at a wiggles concert, as opposed to the thundering clouds of rain which hover above me in the big blue (GREY) sky.
The weather in Melbourne is quite fitting for me actually. It seems to best represent the ever changing moods which I frequently inhabit. From jumping all over the fucking walls happy, to can't get out of bed lows. Black and White, with minimal shades of grey. The shades of grey I do see, remind me of the dark and miserable shades of clouds, right before they bucket rain down upon the drought ridden dry, brown grass of our stage 4 water restriction ridden State.
Jobless, moneyless and possessionless but definitely ambitious. The possessions that I do own, will inherently mean more to me then the riches of kings and queens alike. Sentimentality; something that is becoming less and less relevant to our modern, greedy world. Sometimes I wish that I lived in a different era, even with all our modern "marvels" and technological advancements.
There was a time when a mans worth was not based on what he owned or possessed, but on what he could do to provide and protect. The riches accumulated by some, should not define who they are. I'd like to see how "powerful" Donald Trump would be if you were to say, strip him of his riches and send him out into the real world.
There was a time when recognition and validation were seized through being the best of the best. When the only person who could take your life in battle, was a better swordsman or warrior then yourself. It seems now that recognition and validation are not independent of wealth, and any Joe Blogs can now end a life in battle with a squeeze of his steely trigger.
Hrmm maybe I'll have to hit up the Doc for his Dolorian, and get the fuck back in time!!

P.S. My thoughts are a bit scattered today, as you can probably tell from this post.
